LEGAL
Privacy policy
This policy explains what Tikoo! collects, why we use it, and the choices available to you. Effective 23 September 2026.
Information we collect
We collect account details such as name, email address, profile image, and sign-in provider; checkout details such as purchaser name, email, phone number, order, and payment status; and organizer, event, ticket, and check-in records. We may also receive limited technical and security data needed to operate the service.
How we use information
We use personal data to create and secure accounts, process registrations and payments, issue and validate tickets, deliver service emails, support guests and organizers, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, and improve platform reliability.
Who receives information
We share only what is needed with service providers that support authentication, payments, email, hosting, and database operations. Event organizers receive attendee information needed to administer their event. We may disclose information where legally required or to protect users and the service. We do not sell personal data.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain transaction and attendance records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. We use access controls and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may delete your account from Profile & security. We remove its sign-in methods immediately and retain a limited deletion record for one year before permanently erasing it. Transaction records may need to be retained separately to meet legal obligations. You may also ask to access or correct eligible personal data, or object to certain processing, by emailing support@tikoo.co.ke from the address connected to your account or order.
Updates
We may update this policy when our practices or legal obligations change. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
